Pre-installation Checklist

Thank you for choosing dunns flooring and blinds. Let’s get started with the pre-installation check list to make sure you and your home are ready for your installation to begin.

Thank you for choosing dunns flooring and blinds. Let’s get started with the pre-installation check list to make sure you and your home are ready for your installation to begin.

  • Make sure your driveway is free and clear (no vehicles in the driveway )
  •  
  • If it is a rainy day: make sure the installers have a clean garage (at least 13x22 unobstructed covered space). If not available, please contact your sales person 48 hours prior to installation date.
  •  
  • Clear oats, shoes, plants, book bags, etc. from entryways to house interior and exterior
  •  
  • Please allocate 1 bathroom for your installers to use. If none are available, please let us know 48 hours in advance.
  •  
  • Have all pets and children in a safe designated area where work will not be taking place.
  •  
  • Ensure all valuable objects are secured in a place where no workers will be working (jewelry, guns, cash, credit cards, family heirlooms, etc).
  •  
  • Personal objects should be removed from rooms where installation is taking place including closets (clothes, electronics, tvs, pictures, boxes, etc).


Basic furniture moving is defined as:

 

  • Bedroom: 1 standard bed fully disassembled and stacked on wall ready to be moved, two end tables, and one dresser. Any more than this will result in excess furniture charges. Please make sure all personal items are removed from installation site.


  • Common area space (living, rec, bonus, game etc.): one couch , one love seat, two end tables, and one coffee table. Not to include: sectional, gaming table, entertainment center, dining hutch, or large dining tables etc.)


  • Please note: installers will remove all drawers from furniture to move the major pieces, so any personal objects you don’t want them to handle should be removed prior to our arrival.


  • If we are moving any appliances, please have them disconnected. We do not disconnect or reconnect water or gas. We will plug electric cords in and out.



  • If we are removing and resetting any toilets, please have the toilet wiped and disinfected prior to our arrival.

 

If you have completed all of the above, you are ready to start your install!
